Golden Axe Branding

Golden Axe is a modern Vietnamese restaurant based in Sydney Australia, specializing in banh mi, pho & coffee with a unique twist. The name was inspired by an ancient Vietnamese legend about a poor farmer who dropped his iron axe in the river. The river dragon attempted to give him a gold and silver axe, but the farmer was honest and refused to take it. The river dragon rewarded the farmer by giving him a golden axe, thus ending his life of hardship.

The colors were inspired by Vietnam war propaganda posters and the fun, cheeky illustrations give a lighthearted and updated feel to a somber period.
